Teri Epting

Board Secretary

Teri Epting spent over 30 years as a librarian and English teacher at several schools, retiring in 2005 as an Associate Professor from Johnson & Wales University, Charleston, SC campus. While at Johnson & Wales, Teri was recognized for her exemplary teaching and initiation of problem-based learning at the hospitality university. Teri has a B.A. in English from Wake Forest University, as well as an M.L.S. from the University of Pittsburgh and 24 hours towards an M.A. in Education with a concentration in English from The Citadel.

Teri and her husband, Drew, are inveterate travelers who introduced their daughters, Alison and Amanda, to foreign language and culture in France as young girls and have had the pleasure of visiting them in their many subsequent educational and work stints in Europe, South America and Asia.

Teri is passionate about sharing her educational expertise and since her retirement has volunteered in several Title I schools in Charleston as a classroom tutor, yoga instructor and advocate for early education
